HELLO, NICE TO MEET YOU...

People often ask me ‘So are you Betsy or are you Els?’ I am neither!

Betsy & Els are my special names for my two daughters who cajoled and encouraged me to use my making and creating skills for myself rather than unhappily working for others in an increasingly non-creative profession. In 2016 I set up my independent business, just me and my laser literally out of the kitchen at home...I could cook the family tea whilst I had jobs running on the laser. To keep the balance of loneliness that comes with working alone I took a job one day a week in a local artisan florist. Here I met ‘Lucy Flowers’ the resident florist who inspired the first bunch of hand drawn, laser cut ‘All year round Daffy-Down-Dillys’ and I’ve never really stopped drawing everyone's favourite flowers since. 

After training in Fine Art, then Graphic Design I then spent a large part of my career working in multi-discipline design.  My heart has always been in making and creativity, its a bubble inside you that can't be squashed or held down and with one bunch of hand painted Daffs ....the rest, as they say, is history.
